Dos Caminos Third Avenue Reviews

New York Magazine:
"South-of-the-Border food and flavorful margaritas (sage and plum, anyone?) appeal both to after-work hordes and weekend tourist throngs. Though the dining rooms at the massive midtown outlets make token gestures at Mexican themes - wooden crosses, carved wall panels - sleek latticed walls and mood lighting are more hotel lounge than hacienda. The later you arrive, the louder Dos Caminos gets. If you're not with a large group to join in the revelry, it's possible to request a quieter section. Loft-like areas called Cielos are set above the main room" for more private events.

MetroMix New York:
"The scene kicks off with 100 tequilas and makes its way through four dining vaults on multiple floors at field goal-length tables. Somewhere in there is tableside-made guacamole, some bocaditos like roasted plantain empanadas, lobster ceviche, a lamb shank mixiote steamed in avocado leaves and the more traditional whole boneless Mediterranean seabass Veracruzano."

Biz Bash New York:
"The latest location of Steve Hanson's popular Dos Caminos Mexican restaurants has arrived in Midtown, with the new 11,000-square-foot Dos Caminos Third Avenue. The design of the tri-level space is a play on contemporary Mexican architecture, with shades of pink and orange and an abundance of decorative arches. A series of panels can be closed to create a 50-seat private space off the main dining room; there is also a small mezzanine that seats 30 overlooking the ground-floor bar area."
